It was one thing to write a fictional portrait of Buster Keaton’s last months in vaudeville.

It was another thing to work up the nerve to submit it to Gaspereau Press,

and then have them accept the novel for publication.

Rewrites and revisions were exciting;

watching the pages roll off the press, electrifying.

But to see this
