“Outside of a dog, a book is man’s best friend. Inside of a dog, it’s too dark to read.”
~ Groucho Marx
I won’t say the word out loud.
But I will say this much: A Certain Grace has been honoured by its inclusion on a list of titles that are eligible for the Scotiabank G*ller Prize. The longlist for saidprize will be released on August 28 September 4th.
These titles have been released to allow the Scotiabank G*ller Prize Readers’ Choice Contest to happen – so that readers have a chance to vote on their favourite. The contest runs from August 1 - 14 20th (the nomination deadline has been extended until 11:50 ET on August 20), so voting has already begun.
If you’ve enjoyed reading A Certain Grace and would like to add your vote, please follow this link.
A Certain Grace is available for purchase through my website, also at Halifax-area bookstores such as Bookmark II, Coles, and Chapters, Kobo and Kindle, and Chapters online.
I must say, I find this whole business a bit bewildering, but it’s exciting to know that people are pumped about Canadian books. Speaking of which, I wonder what everyone’s reading these days?
