“When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret… Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things inluding the fear of childishness.”
- C.S. Lewis
I’m finding inspiration in all corners of my life, from the lightness of Vivaldi to the sight of Little Neighbours whirling and twirling around a dance floor; the kindness of beloveds, the poetry of friends, and the stories of Hans Christian Anderson and the Brothers Grimm. I’ve had some big confidence-boosts to do with my short stories, which I can now say are shaping up into a collection. Ideas are flowing while I rewrite and re-think some of my older stories (“re-vision”), and some new ideas bubble and stew. I’ll get to them when the muse taps at the window; meanwhile, I’ve got my hands full with revising.
