Invisible Friends

“Fiction is a lie, and good fiction is the truth inside the lie.”

- Stephen King

After testing this branch and that, I finally found the right one. I shook hard, and the plot point I’ve been looking for all these weeks dropped on me with a splat, like a ripe peach waiting to be picked.

The unexpected discovery, at 9:00 on a Saturday night, rendered me completely antisocial and unfit to live with while I sat in a darkened room and sorted things out in my mind. Luckily for me, the Business Guy is a paragon of patience. When my invisible friends come calling, he ambles off and finds a ball game to look at while I get my act together. It’s a good thing the Jays were ahead.

Now I must think about tattoos. Not getting one; simply learning more about them, and the people who choose to have them.
